Radstockiceras glevense Pyrite Ammonite.

An exceptionally rare Pyritized Ammonite fossil, Radstockiceras glevense intermediary, from the Upper Sinemurian Raricostatum Zone of Bishops Cleeve, Gloucestershire, UK. Not only is this a very rare species, but also represents the largest of it kind ever found measuring 13.5" across, with the previous maximum growth recorded as 12" across.

In terms of Pyrite Ammonites worldwide, this ranks among the largest and rarest. The Ammonite is displayed via original matrix with cut flat base. A complete, genuine and unground unmolested specimen worthy of the finest collections.

A superb example of this sought after species of Ammonite, from the famous Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England. The Asteroceras has course ribbing, with a ridge running the length of the flattened keel. This 3-dimensional specimen measures across and exhibits great detail with wonderfully defined inner whorls and intact centre. The yellow brown and green calcite and aragonite replacements contrast beautifully with the original blue lias matrix. A very large specimen measuring 6.3". The natural and original nodule matrix measures 17.7" x 12" x 3.1".

An Eparietites sp. from the Lower Lias at the famous Froddingham Ironstone quarry of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Approx. 200,000,000 years old. Stunning calcite replacement and smooth ribbing.
