Cladocyclus Fossil Fish.

A large fossil fish, Cladocyclus sp. from the famous Cretaceous Santana Formation of Ceara, Brazil. Approx. 110,000,000 years old. A fine example of this sought after species, complete on original matrix measuring 28.5" x 9.9". The matrix exhibits two lines of repair, which have been well executed and do not detract from the quality of this piece. Terrific scale and fin detail on this very recognizable piece, with complete skull showing teeth in situ.

Tharrias Fossil Fish from Brazil

Here is one rather special fossil fish plate, a rare and very well prepared Tharrias sp. fossil fish from the Lower Cretaceous Limestone of The Santana Formation, Ceara Province, Brazil (approx. 110,000,000 years old).

A superbly preserved example measuring 7.9" long, remounted on a stable and attractive matrix measuring 11.9" x 8.9" x 0.8". Excellent three dimensional relief of fossil from matrix - a wonderful display piece.
